Accessibility Audits and Fixes

Find and fix barriers that stop people with disabilities using your site, measured against WCAG 2.2 and tested with real assistive technology.

Overview

Website Accessibility

Accessibility means people who use screen readers, keyboards, voice control or magnification can use your site. Codemotives audits against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, combining automated scanning with manual checks, because automated tools only catch a portion of real issues. We explain each issue in terms of who it affects and how to fix it.

We deliver a prioritized report and can fix the issues in design and code, or coach your developers to do it. We are straightforward about limits: an audit shows the state of your site at a point in time, and we cannot promise legal compliance or immunity from complaints. Accessibility is an ongoing practice, so we also help build it into your workflow.

Context

Problems we solve

  • 01

    Automated tools miss issues

Scanners find only a share of problems. Manual keyboard and screen reader testing catches the rest.

  • 02

    Inaccessible components

Custom menus, modals and forms often fail keyboard and screen reader users. We rebuild them with proper semantics.

  • 03

    Color and content problems

Low contrast, missing alt text and unclear links create barriers. We fix them at design and content level.

  • 04

    Regressions after launch

New releases reintroduce problems. We add checks to your development process.

Capabilities

What we deliver

  1. 01

    WCAG 2.2 audit

Page and flow review against WCAG 2.2 level A and AA criteria, with clear, prioritized findings.

  2. 02

    Assistive technology testing

Testing with screen readers such as NVDA and VoiceOver, keyboard-only use and zoom.

  3. 03

    Remediation

We fix HTML, ARIA, focus handling, forms, color contrast and media alternatives.

  4. 04

    Accessible design review

Designs are reviewed before build so problems are avoided rather than fixed.

  5. 05

    Component library work

Reusable accessible components reduce repeat defects across a site.

  6. 06

    Team guidance

Short training and checklists for designers, developers and content editors.

Approach

How we deliver

  1. 1

    Discover

We learn your goals, users, constraints and existing systems before proposing anything.

  2. 2

    Plan

Scope, priorities, architecture and milestones are agreed so everyone knows what ships when.

  3. 3

    Design

User flows, interfaces and technical design are shaped and reviewed with you early.

  4. 4

    Build

Work is delivered in short iterations with regular demos, so progress is always visible.

  5. 5

    Test

Functional, integration and performance checks run throughout, not only at the end.

  6. 6

    Launch & support

We deploy, monitor and keep improving the product after it goes live.

FAQs

Common questions

Have a question that is not covered here? Get in touch.

Will an audit make us legally compliant?

We cannot promise that. Laws and their interpretation vary by region and change over time. An honest audit and remediation reduce barriers and show good-faith effort, but you should take legal advice for your situation.

Do accessibility overlays fix this?

Overlay widgets generally do not resolve underlying code problems. We recommend fixing the source in design and code.

Can you test with real users?

We test with assistive technology ourselves. Testing with disabled users gives extra insight, and we can work with panels you arrange.
