Android Apps for Every Device

Android spans phones, tablets, foldables and wearables from many manufacturers. We build apps that stay fast, stable and consistent across that range.

Overview

Android

Android's strength is its reach, and its challenge is diversity: a wide spread of screen sizes, hardware capabilities, manufacturer customizations and OS versions. Good Android engineering plans for that variation using responsive layouts, careful lifecycle handling and sensible limits on background work. Google updates the platform every year, and device makers layer their own behavior on top, so testing breadth matters.

We build in Kotlin with Jetpack libraries, Compose for modern interfaces and the recommended architecture of ViewModels, repositories and unidirectional data flow. We test on real devices across several OS levels, tune startup time and memory use, and prepare signed app bundles and Play Console listings. Existing Java apps can be maintained or migrated incrementally.

Context

Why teams choose it

  • 01

    Broad device reach

One Android app can serve many device types and markets, from budget phones to tablets and foldables.

  • 02

    Flexible platform access

Android offers deep access to system features, background services, intents and hardware, enabling apps that are harder to build elsewhere.

  • 03

    Modern, supported tooling

Kotlin, Jetpack and Android Studio provide a mature toolchain with strong guidance from Google.

  • 04

    Open distribution options

Beyond Google Play, apps can be distributed through enterprise channels and alternative stores where appropriate.

Capabilities

What we build with it

  1. 01

    Kotlin and Compose apps

Declarative interfaces with Jetpack Compose, plus View-based screens where existing code requires them.

  2. 02

    Device compatibility

Adaptive layouts, density handling and testing across screen sizes, OS versions and manufacturer skins.

  3. 03

    Background work

WorkManager, foreground services and push messaging that respect Android's battery and execution limits.

  4. 04

    Local data and sync

Room databases, DataStore and offline-first sync with your backend.

  5. 05

    Hardware integration

Bluetooth Low Energy, NFC, camera, sensors and location through official APIs.

  6. 06

    Play Store readiness

App bundles, signing, staged rollouts and policy compliance such as data safety declarations.

Typical projects

  • Consumer apps for broad markets
  • Barcode and NFC field tools
  • Bluetooth device companion apps
  • Kiosk and dedicated-device apps
  • Logistics and delivery driver apps

Approach

How we work with it

  1. 1

    Assess

We review your goals and any existing code to decide where this technology fits best.

  2. 2

    Architect

We plan structure, integrations, data flow and hosting before writing production code.

  3. 3

    Build

Features ship in small, reviewed increments with automated checks along the way.

  4. 4

    Release & maintain

We deploy, monitor and keep dependencies and versions up to date.

FAQs

Common questions

Have a question that is not covered here? Get in touch.

Kotlin or Java for a new Android app?

Kotlin is Google's recommended language and the default for new work. We maintain and migrate Java code too, and the two interoperate within one project.

How do you handle so many Android devices?

We target a defined range of OS versions and screen classes, use adaptive layouts, and test on a representative set of real devices plus emulators. No team can test every device, so we prioritize based on your audience.

Will Google Play approve my app?

We build to Google Play policies and prepare required declarations, but approval and review timing are Google's decisions. Designing for compliance early reduces the chance of delays.

Can the same app be offered on iOS?

Yes, either as a separate native iOS app or by choosing a cross-platform framework from the start. We help you pick based on features, budget and long-term maintenance.
