IoT Apps Connecting Devices
We build the software around connected devices: mobile apps, cloud backends and dashboards that collect data, send commands and stay secure.
Overview
IoT Apps
An IoT product is a chain: sensors or devices, a connectivity layer, a cloud backend, and apps people use to see and control what is happening. Each link has its own constraints, such as limited power, intermittent connectivity, device identity and firmware updates, and weakness in one affects the whole product.
Our scope is the software side of that chain. We build companion apps that pair over Bluetooth Low Energy or Wi-Fi, backends that ingest telemetry through protocols like MQTT, and dashboards for monitoring and alerts. We design for unreliable networks, device authentication and secure updates. We work with your hardware or firmware team and do not manufacture devices ourselves.
Context
Why teams choose it
- 01
Unreliable connectivity
Devices drop offline, so apps and backends need queuing, retries and clear state handling.
- 02
Security at the edge
Each connected device is an attack surface, requiring identity, encryption and a plan for updates.
- 03
Telemetry at scale
Streams of sensor readings need ingestion, storage and querying designed for time-series data.
- 04
Many moving parts
Firmware, mobile, cloud and analytics must agree on data formats and behavior throughout the product.
Capabilities
What we build with it
- 01
Companion mobile apps
iOS and Android apps for device pairing, setup, control and notifications over BLE or Wi-Fi.
- 02
Cloud ingestion
MQTT and HTTP endpoints, device registries and message pipelines on major cloud IoT services.
- 03
Dashboards and alerts
Live and historical views of device data with threshold alerts and reporting.
- 04
Remote control and OTA
Command delivery, configuration management and support for firmware update workflows.
- 05
Data storage and analytics
Time-series storage and analysis pipelines for trends, anomalies and usage insight.
- 06
Security design
Device authentication, encrypted transport, role-based access and audit trails.

Approach
How we work with it
- 1
Assess
We review your goals and any existing code to decide where this technology fits best.
- 2
Architect
We plan structure, integrations, data flow and hosting before writing production code.
- 3
Build
Features ship in small, reviewed increments with automated checks along the way.
- 4
Release & maintain
We deploy, monitor and keep dependencies and versions up to date.
FAQs
Common questions
Have a question that is not covered here? Get in touch.
Do you build the hardware or firmware?
Our focus is the app, cloud and data layers. We work closely with your hardware or firmware team on protocols and data contracts, but we do not design or manufacture devices.
Which connectivity protocols do you work with?
Commonly Bluetooth Low Energy, Wi-Fi with MQTT or HTTPS, and cellular gateways. The right choice depends on power, range and data volume, and we help you evaluate it.
How do you handle IoT security?
We use per-device identity, encrypted transport, least-privilege access and a plan for patching. No connected product is risk free, so we also design for monitoring and revocation.
Which cloud should we use?
AWS, Azure and Google Cloud all have capable IoT building blocks. We recommend based on your existing infrastructure, team skills and scale rather than a default.
