iOS Apps Built for Apple Platforms

We design and engineer apps for the whole iOS ecosystem, covering iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and the system features that make Apple apps feel native.

Overview

iOS

iOS development means working within Apple's platform conventions: Human Interface Guidelines, the app lifecycle, background execution limits, privacy permissions and a tightly managed distribution pipeline. Apps are built in Xcode against the iOS SDK, using Swift and, where needed, Objective-C for older codebases and C-level libraries. Each yearly OS release brings new APIs and deprecations, so keeping an app current is part of the job.

Our approach is platform-first. We structure projects with clear separation between UI, domain logic and data, use SwiftUI or UIKit depending on the minimum OS target, and plan for entitlements, signing and TestFlight distribution from the start. The result is an app that behaves the way iOS users expect and is straightforward to maintain across OS releases.

Context

Why teams choose it

  • 01

    Consistent platform experience

iOS users expect familiar navigation, gestures and system integration. Building natively makes that consistency the default rather than an afterthought.

  • 02

    Deep system integration

Features like widgets, Live Activities, Siri shortcuts, HealthKit and Apple Pay are exposed through first-party frameworks that work best in native code.

  • 03

    Smooth, predictable performance

Native rendering and Apple's profiling tools make it easier to keep scrolling, animation and battery usage under control.

  • 04

    A controlled release path

TestFlight, phased releases and App Store Connect give teams a structured way to ship and iterate.

Capabilities

What we build with it

  1. 01

    Universal iPhone and iPad apps

We build adaptive layouts that work across screen sizes, split view and multitasking on iPad.

  2. 02

    Apple Watch and extensions

Companion watchOS apps, widgets and share or notification extensions that extend your app beyond the main screen.

  3. 03

    Apple service integration

Sign in with Apple, Apple Pay, push notifications, in-app purchases, CloudKit and HealthKit.

  4. 04

    Offline-first data

Local persistence with Core Data or SwiftData and reliable background sync with your backend.

  5. 05

    Security and privacy

Keychain storage, biometric authentication, privacy manifests and permission flows that match Apple's requirements.

  6. 06

    Release engineering

Automated builds, code signing, TestFlight distribution and App Store submission support.

Typical projects

  • Consumer apps with Apple Pay checkout
  • Health and wellness companion apps
  • Field service tools for iPad
  • Apps with widgets and Live Activities
  • Enterprise apps distributed through MDM

Approach

How we work with it

  1. 1

    Assess

We review your goals and any existing code to decide where this technology fits best.

  2. 2

    Architect

We plan structure, integrations, data flow and hosting before writing production code.

  3. 3

    Build

Features ship in small, reviewed increments with automated checks along the way.

  4. 4

    Release & maintain

We deploy, monitor and keep dependencies and versions up to date.

FAQs

Common questions

Have a question that is not covered here? Get in touch.

What is the difference between iOS and iPhone app development?

iOS is the operating system, so iOS development covers iPhone, iPad and related platforms such as Apple Watch. iPhone app development focuses on the phone form factor and its specific design and device considerations. Many projects start on iPhone and extend to iPad later.

Do you build in Swift or Objective-C?

New projects use Swift. We work with Objective-C when maintaining or extending an existing app, and the two languages can coexist in one codebase during a gradual migration.

Can you handle App Store submission?

We prepare the build, metadata, privacy declarations and screenshots, and handle submission. Apple's review decisions and timing are outside our control, so we design for compliance up front to reduce the risk of rejection.

Should we build native iOS or use a cross-platform framework?

Choose native when you need the deepest Apple integration or the best possible performance. If you also need Android and want one team and codebase, a cross-platform option may fit better, and we will help you weigh the trade-offs.
