Databases
SQL Server Done Right
We design, tune and extend Microsoft SQL Server databases, from schema and stored procedures to integration pipelines and reporting.
Overview
SQL Server
Microsoft SQL Server is a relational database platform common in enterprises and tightly integrated with .NET, Azure and the Microsoft BI stack. It is commonly found behind line-of-business systems that have run for years. T-SQL, its procedural dialect, supports stored procedures, functions, triggers and set-based logic, while features like indexing, columnstore, partitioning and Always On availability groups address performance and resilience.
Our work starts with the data model and the real query patterns. We write clear T-SQL, review execution plans, tune indexes and statistics, and design transactions to avoid blocking. We build ETL with SSIS or Azure Data Factory, reporting with SSRS or Power BI, and help migrate older instances to newer versions or Azure SQL. Changes are scripted and version controlled.
Context
Why teams choose it
- 01
Fits the Microsoft stack
SQL Server works naturally with .NET, Active Directory, Azure and Power BI, reducing integration friction.
- 02
Mature tooling
Management Studio, execution plans and Query Store give strong visibility into performance.
- 03
Enterprise-grade availability
Always On, replication and backup features support high availability and disaster recovery planning.
- 04
Rich T-SQL and BI features
Stored procedures, windowing functions and the BI toolset support heavy business logic and reporting.
Capabilities
What we build with it
- 01
Schema and data modeling
Normalized, well-constrained designs that keep data consistent and queries predictable.
- 02
T-SQL development
Stored procedures, functions and views written for clarity, safety and set-based performance.
- 03
Performance tuning
Execution plan analysis, indexing strategy, statistics and locking behavior review.
- 04
ETL and integration
SSIS packages and Azure Data Factory pipelines moving data between systems.
- 05
Reporting
SSRS reports and Power BI datasets built on clean, governed data models.
- 06
Migration and upgrades
Moving to newer SQL Server versions or Azure SQL with testing and rollback plans.

Approach
How we work with it
- 1
Assess
We review your goals and any existing code to decide where this technology fits best.
- 2
Architect
We plan structure, integrations, data flow and hosting before writing production code.
- 3
Build
Features ship in small, reviewed increments with automated checks along the way.
- 4
Release & maintain
We deploy, monitor and keep dependencies and versions up to date.
FAQs
Common questions
Have a question that is not covered here? Get in touch.
SQL Server or PostgreSQL?
SQL Server is a strong fit when you are invested in Microsoft tools and licensing is acceptable. PostgreSQL is open source and flexible. We compare both against your workload, budget and team skills.
Can you speed up a slow SQL Server database?
Usually we start by finding the worst queries with Query Store and execution plans, then fix indexes, statistics and query design. Some slowness comes from hardware or application patterns, which we call out honestly.
Do you work with Azure SQL?
Yes. Azure SQL Database and Managed Instance share much of the engine with SQL Server, and we help choose the right option and plan the migration.
Do you handle licensing decisions?
We can explain editions and feature differences, but license terms are set by Microsoft and your reseller. We recommend confirming final licensing with them.
