WooCommerce on WordPress

WooCommerce turns a WordPress site into a store. We build and tune it for merchants who want content and commerce together, with full ownership.

Overview

WooCommerce

WooCommerce is an open source eCommerce plugin for WordPress. It adds products, carts, checkout, orders and customers to a WordPress site, and extends through a large library of plugins, hooks and the REST API. Because it sits on WordPress, content, SEO and commerce live in one system that editors already know.

The flexibility comes with responsibility: you host it, keep WordPress, plugins and PHP updated, and manage performance. We build custom plugins and themes using WordPress and WooCommerce hooks, set up payment gateways, tax and shipping, and tune stores with object caching, database cleanup and lean plugin choices. We also run security reviews and plan migrations, including from WooCommerce to hosted platforms when a store outgrows it.

FAQs

Common questions

Have a question that is not covered here? Get in touch.

Is WooCommerce free?

The core plugin is free, but you pay for hosting, premium extensions, themes and development. Costs depend on your needs, so we outline them during planning.

Can WooCommerce handle a large store?

It can with good hosting, caching and database tuning, and many stores run large catalogs. Very high-volume or complex multi-store needs may be easier on a platform such as Magento or BigCommerce.

WooCommerce or Shopify?

WooCommerce gives control and fits WordPress-based sites, but you manage hosting and maintenance. Shopify is hosted and simpler to operate. We help you decide based on your team and growth plans.

How do you keep a WooCommerce store secure?

We keep core, themes and plugins updated, limit unnecessary plugins, harden access and use backups and monitoring. Hosting quality and plugin choice matter just as much as updates.
