Jetpack for WordPress Sites

Jetpack is a WordPress plugin suite from Automattic. We configure it, integrate it and extend around it so it helps your site rather than weighing it down.

Overview

Jetpack

Jetpack is a suite of services delivered as a WordPress plugin by Automattic, the company behind WordPress.com. A site connects to a WordPress.com account, and features are enabled as modules or add-on products. These include site statistics, a CDN for images, related posts, social sharing, security scanning, backups, spam protection, search and forms. Some features are free while others require paid plans.

Our work is about using Jetpack deliberately instead of switching everything on. We audit which modules your site needs, configure the connection and settings, check for overlap with other plugins, and measure performance impact. We build integrations and customizations with Jetpack's hooks and APIs, and troubleshoot connection and syncing issues. It applies only to WordPress sites, and it is separate from general WordPress development.

Context

Why teams choose it

  • 01

    Many features, one plugin

Security, backups, stats, search and performance tools come from one vendor and one dashboard.

  • 02

    Managed services offload work

Features such as image CDN and backups run on Automattic's infrastructure rather than your server.

  • 03

    Modular activation

Individual modules can be turned on or off, so a site uses only what it needs.

  • 04

    Maintained by WordPress's parent company

It is developed by Automattic, which keeps it aligned with WordPress releases.

FAQs

Common questions

Have a question that is not covered here? Get in touch.

What exactly is Jetpack?

Jetpack is a WordPress plugin suite from Automattic that adds services like stats, security, backups, search and performance tools. It connects your site to a WordPress.com account, so some features rely on external services.

Is Jetpack free?

The plugin has free features, and other products such as backups, scanning and search require paid plans. Plan details are set by Automattic and can change.

Does Jetpack slow down a site?

Enabling every module can add overhead, while features like the image CDN can help. We audit what you use and measure the effect on page speed.

Do we need Jetpack if we use WooCommerce?

Not necessarily. Jetpack complements WooCommerce with security, backups and performance tools, but you can use alternatives. We recommend based on your hosting and what it already provides.
