Backend
MEAN Stack, JavaScript Throughout
We build web applications on MongoDB, Express, Angular and Node.js, giving teams a structured, TypeScript-friendly stack with one language from database to browser.
Overview
MEAN Stack
MEAN combines MongoDB for document storage, Express and Node.js for the server, and Angular for the client. Angular is a complete, opinionated framework with dependency injection, routing, forms and strong TypeScript support, so MEAN tends to appeal to teams that want structure and consistency in a large frontend. It is often chosen for enterprise dashboards, portals and internal platforms.
We use MEAN for applications with complex user interfaces, role-based screens and long maintenance horizons, such as dashboards, portals and internal platforms. We share TypeScript models between layers, design MongoDB schemas around real access patterns, and cover APIs and components with automated tests, so the stack stays orderly as the team and codebase grow.
Context
Why teams choose it
- 01
One language end to end
TypeScript or JavaScript across database queries, server and UI cuts handoffs between teams.
- 02
Opinionated frontend
Angular's structure, dependency injection and tooling keep large frontends consistent.
- 03
Flexible data model
MongoDB's document model suits evolving data shapes and JSON-heavy APIs.
- 04
Good for enterprise UIs
Forms, validation and modular architecture handle complex business screens well.
Capabilities
What we build with it
- 01
Full MEAN applications
End-to-end builds with Angular frontends and Node and Express APIs.
- 02
Angular front ends
Modular, lazy-loaded apps with reactive forms and state management.
- 03
Express and Node APIs
Authenticated REST APIs with validation and clear error handling.
- 04
MongoDB modeling
Schema design, indexing and aggregation pipelines tuned to your queries.
- 05
Angular upgrades
Moving older AngularJS or early Angular apps toward current Angular releases.
- 06
Testing and deployment
Jasmine and Jest tests, CI pipelines and containerized releases.

Approach
How we work with it
- 1
Assess
We review your goals and any existing code to decide where this technology fits best.
- 2
Architect
We plan structure, integrations, data flow and hosting before writing production code.
- 3
Build
Features ship in small, reviewed increments with automated checks along the way.
- 4
Release & maintain
We deploy, monitor and keep dependencies and versions up to date.
FAQs
Common questions
Have a question that is not covered here? Get in touch.
What is the difference between MEAN and MERN?
The only difference is the frontend: MEAN uses Angular, MERN uses React. Angular is a full framework with strong conventions, while React is a library that leaves more architectural choices to you.
Is the MEAN stack suitable for large applications?
Yes, particularly because Angular's structure and TypeScript support help big teams stay consistent. Success depends on good API design, data modeling and testing.
Is MongoDB always the right database?
Not always. It fits flexible, document-shaped data. If your data is highly relational with strict transactions, a relational database such as PostgreSQL may be better, and we will say so.
Can you migrate our AngularJS application?
Yes. AngularJS is no longer supported, so we plan a gradual move to modern Angular, often running both side by side while features move over.
