Software for Renewable Energy Teams
We build software for solar, wind, storage and EV charging businesses, from performance monitoring to installer tools and customer apps.
Overview
Renewable Energy Software
Renewable energy companies run many distributed assets: rooftop systems, solar farms, turbines, batteries and chargers. Codemotives builds the monitoring and management software that gathers inverter and sensor data, shows how each site is performing and flags faults so teams can respond quickly. Our teams handle the data pipelines and the apps together so nothing falls between them.
We also build the business side: installer and sales tools for quoting and project tracking, customer apps showing production and savings, and portals for asset owners and investors. We build software, not hardware, and we do not make claims about grid approvals. Device and market rules vary by region, so we design around your specific requirements. We design with different regions and device ecosystems in mind.
Context
Sector challenges
- 01
Many device vendors
Inverters, meters and batteries come from different makers with different data formats and APIs.
- 02
Spotting underperformance
Weather affects output, so a low reading is not always a fault. Monitoring needs context to avoid false alarms.
- 03
Distributed project delivery
Installations involve sales, design, permitting and field crews. Tracking each step is hard in spreadsheets.
- 04
Customer expectations
Owners want to see production and savings clearly, which depends on trustworthy data and simple presentation.
Capabilities
Solutions we build
- 01
Asset monitoring platform
Unified ingestion from inverters, meters and batteries via vendor APIs or protocols, with site and fleet views.
- 02
Performance analysis
Comparison of expected and actual output using weather data, with fault and soiling flags.
- 03
Installer and project tools
Lead-to-install tracking, site survey apps, checklists and documentation for field crews.
- 04
Customer apps
Production, consumption and savings views for homeowners and businesses on mobile and web.
- 05
EV charging management
Charger status, sessions, access control and payments, using open protocols such as OCPP where supported.
- 06
Owner and investor reporting
Portfolio dashboards and exportable reports across sites, with role-based access.

Approach
How we build for your sector
- 1
Understand the domain
We map your workflows, users, data and the rules your business operates under.
- 2
Design for real users
Interfaces are shaped around the people who use the system every day.
- 3
Build & integrate
We connect the product with the tools and data sources you already rely on.
- 4
Launch & improve
After launch we measure usage and keep refining what matters most.
FAQs
Common questions
Have a question that is not covered here? Get in touch.
Can you integrate different inverter brands?
Usually, where the manufacturers provide cloud APIs or documented local protocols. Some brands restrict access, so we check availability for your target devices at the start of the project.
Do you build EV charging software?
Yes, including charger management and driver apps, commonly using OCPP. Hardware certification and network approvals are separate and belong with you and your hardware partners.
What affects the project scope?
Device variety, number of sites, real-time needs, and whether you need customer apps and payments all matter. Contact us with your asset types and we can suggest a phased start.
