Web Apps That Feel Native

A progressive web app runs in the browser but can be installed, work offline and send notifications. We build them where that reach and flexibility pay off.

Overview

Progressive Web Apps

Progressive web apps, or PWAs, use browser capabilities such as service workers, a web app manifest and push notifications to behave much like installed applications. One codebase serves every device, updates arrive without app store review, and users can add the app to their home screen. For many businesses this is a lighter route than building separate native apps.

We design the offline behavior deliberately: what data is cached, how changes sync when connectivity returns and what users see in between. We are also upfront about limits. Some device features and platform behaviors differ between browsers, and a few products still justify native apps. We help you judge which side your project falls on.

Context

Problems we solve

  • 01

    Unreliable connectivity

Users in warehouses, field sites or transit lose access mid-task and cannot afford lost work.

  • 02

    Cost of multiple apps

Maintaining separate web, iOS and Android products multiplies development and upkeep effort.

  • 03

    App store friction

Review delays and install barriers slow updates and reduce the number of people who try the app.

  • 04

    Platform differences

Browsers support PWA features unevenly, so behavior needs careful testing and fallbacks.

Capabilities

What we deliver

  1. 01

    Service worker caching

Strategies that decide what is stored for offline use and when it refreshes.

  2. 02

    Installable experience

Manifest, icons and install prompts so the app can live on the home screen.

  3. 03

    Background sync

Queued actions that complete when the connection returns, with clear user feedback.

  4. 04

    Push notifications

Opt-in messaging where the browser and platform support it.

  5. 05

    Performance tuning

Fast start-up and smooth interaction measured on mid-range devices.

  6. 06

    Upgrade of existing sites

Adding PWA capabilities to a current web application without a full rebuild.

Where it fits

  • Field service tools used with spotty signal
  • Retail and catalog apps without app store reliance
  • Convert an existing web app to installable
  • Event and ticketing experiences
  • Lightweight alternatives to separate native apps

Technologies we use

  • Service Workers
  • Workbox
  • React
  • Next.js
  • IndexedDB
  • Web App Manifest
  • Lighthouse

Approach

How we deliver

  1. 1

    Discover

We learn your goals, users, constraints and existing systems before proposing anything.

  2. 2

    Plan

Scope, priorities, architecture and milestones are agreed so everyone knows what ships when.

  3. 3

    Design

User flows, interfaces and technical design are shaped and reviewed with you early.

  4. 4

    Build

Work is delivered in short iterations with regular demos, so progress is always visible.

  5. 5

    Test

Functional, integration and performance checks run throughout, not only at the end.

  6. 6

    Launch & support

We deploy, monitor and keep improving the product after it goes live.

FAQs

Common questions

Have a question that is not covered here? Get in touch.

Can a PWA replace a native app?

Sometimes. If your needs are content, forms, dashboards or commerce, a PWA often does the job. Deep hardware access, heavy graphics or certain iOS features may still call for a native app, and we will tell you if that applies.

Does a PWA work on iPhones?

Yes, with some differences in notification support and install behavior compared with Android. We check the current browser capabilities against your requirements early in the project.

Can you turn our current website into a PWA?

In many cases, yes. Adding a manifest, service worker and offline strategy to an existing web app is often a smaller project than starting over, depending on how the app is built.
