Software Development
Offshore Teams, Practical Hours
Working with a team in another country raises time-zone, communication and trust questions. We plan for all three so distance does not cost you momentum.
Overview
Offshore Software Development
Offshore development places part or all of your engineering in a different country. People usually choose it for access to skills and for cost flexibility, but the working reality depends on time zones, language, culture and how work is handed back and forth. A team that is technically capable can still struggle if those basics are neglected.
We address them directly. We agree on overlapping hours for daily conversation, write requirements and decisions down rather than relying on hallway context, and use video demos and shared tooling to keep everyone aligned. Our team is based in India, so we plan the overlap with your region at the start and revisit it as the project evolves.
Context
Problems we solve
- 01
Time-zone gaps
A day's delay on every question can stall a sprint if working hours do not overlap sensibly.
- 02
Communication drift
Remote teams can misunderstand requirements, and the error is found only when a demo goes wrong.
- 03
Trust and oversight
Managing a team you cannot see requires visible output and consistent habits, not just promises.
- 04
Legal and data concerns
Cross-border work raises questions about contracts, intellectual property and data handling.
Capabilities
What we deliver
- 01
Planned working overlap
Agreed daily hours when both sides are online for planning, questions and review.
- 02
Written-first communication
Decisions and requirements recorded in shared tools so nothing depends on memory.
- 03
Regular demos
Short recorded or live demonstrations that show real progress each iteration.
- 04
Embedded team model
Offshore engineers who join your standups and tools and work as part of your team.
- 05
Contract and IP clarity
Written agreements covering confidentiality, ownership and data handling.
- 06
Flexible ramp-up
Start with a small group and expand once the working relationship is proven.
Where it fits
- Extending a product team with remote engineers
- Running ongoing maintenance with a distributed team
- Building a long-term engineering center
- Staffing specialist skills unavailable locally
- Adding follow-the-sun support coverage

Approach
How we deliver
- 1
Discover
We learn your goals, users, constraints and existing systems before proposing anything.
- 2
Plan
Scope, priorities, architecture and milestones are agreed so everyone knows what ships when.
- 3
Design
User flows, interfaces and technical design are shaped and reviewed with you early.
- 4
Build
Work is delivered in short iterations with regular demos, so progress is always visible.
- 5
Test
Functional, integration and performance checks run throughout, not only at the end.
- 6
Launch & support
We deploy, monitor and keep improving the product after it goes live.
FAQs
Common questions
Have a question that is not covered here? Get in touch.
How do you handle the time difference?
We agree on a daily overlap window for meetings and real-time questions, and structure work so developers can progress independently outside it. Clear written tasks make the non-overlap hours productive.
Is offshore always cheaper?
Hourly rates may be lower, but the total cost also depends on management effort, rework and communication overhead. We believe the saving is real when the process is disciplined, and we will not promise a specific figure.
How is our data protected?
We use access controls, confidentiality agreements and your own repositories and cloud accounts where you prefer. Specific requirements, such as data residency, should be raised at the start so they can be written into the agreement.
