Backend Developers

Hire .NET Core Developers

Developers for modern, cross-platform .NET: APIs, microservices and containerized applications that run on Linux or Windows.

Overview

Hire .NET Core Developers

Modern .NET, which began as .NET Core, is a cross-platform, open-source runtime designed for high-performance web APIs, microservices and cloud workloads. Applications can run in Linux containers, which changes hosting and cost compared with the Windows-only Framework era, and ASP.NET Core provides middleware, dependency injection and configuration out of the box.

Our .NET Core developers build minimal APIs and controller-based services, use Entity Framework Core for data access, and write background workers with hosted services. They containerize applications for Docker and Kubernetes, add health checks and structured logging, and help teams migrate Framework projects when moving to current .NET releases makes sense.

Context

When to hire

  • 01

You want to leave Windows-only hosting

Modern .NET runs well in Linux containers, which can simplify deployment and reduce licensing needs.

  • 02

    You are building microservices

ASP.NET Core's lightweight hosting suits small, independently deployable services.

  • 03

    Performance matters

The runtime is designed for high throughput, so efficient APIs are realistic.

  • 04

You must migrate from .NET Framework

Library compatibility and API differences need careful analysis and staged work.

Capabilities

Skills you get

  1. 01

    ASP.NET Core APIs

Minimal APIs and controllers with validation, authentication and OpenAPI documentation.

  2. 02

    Entity Framework Core

Mapping, migrations and query tuning for SQL Server and PostgreSQL.

  3. 03

    Containerization

Docker images, health checks and configuration for Kubernetes or app services.

  4. 04

    Background processing

Hosted services, queues and scheduled tasks.

  5. 05

    Migration to modern .NET

Using upgrade tooling and manual refactoring to move Framework projects.

  6. 06

    Testing

xUnit, integration tests with test hosts and contract checks.

Typical work

  • Building cloud-hosted APIs
  • Microservices in containers
  • Migrating from .NET Framework

  • Backends for mobile and SPA clients

Tools they use

  • .NET
  • ASP.NET Core
  • C#
  • Entity Framework Core
  • Docker
  • Azure
  • SQL Server
  • xUnit

Approach

How hiring works

  1. 1

    Share your needs

Tell us about your project, stack, team setup and the skills you are looking for.

  2. 2

    Review the match

We suggest developers whose experience fits, and you can talk with them before deciding.

  3. 3

    Onboard

Access, tools, communication channels and working hours are agreed up front.

  4. 4

    Build & review

Work runs in your process with regular updates, and the team can scale as needs change.

FAQs

Common questions

Have a question that is not covered here? Get in touch.

Is .NET Core the same as .NET 8 and later?

Microsoft dropped the Core name after .NET 5, so current releases are simply called .NET. We use the term here because it is what many teams search for.

Can you migrate our Framework application?

We can assess it first. Web Forms and some older technologies do not port directly, so we scope rewrites or incremental approaches honestly.

Do you support cloud deployment too?

Yes, we can set up containers and CI pipelines, and work with our cloud engineers where needed.
