Data Science for Hard Questions

Exploratory analysis, statistical modeling and experimentation that answer why things happen and what to do next, not just what happened.

Overview

Data Science Solutions

Where analytics reports on what happened, data science investigates why and what might happen next. We start with a question, such as why customers leave or which factors drive cost, then explore the data, test hypotheses and build models only where they add something beyond simple analysis. We resist building models when a clear analysis answers the question.

Our data science solutions put weight on rigor: clear problem statements, careful treatment of missing data, honest uncertainty and findings explained in plain language. Results are delivered as reports, reusable notebooks or models, depending on whether you need an insight, a repeatable analysis or something to embed in a system.

Context

Problems we solve

  • 01

    Questions without answers

Dashboards show symptoms, not causes. We apply statistical methods to investigate drivers and relationships.

  • 02

    Correlation mistaken for cause

Patterns in data can mislead decisions. We design analyses and experiments that separate signal from coincidence.

  • 03

    Messy real-world data

Missing values, duplicates and changing definitions distort results. We document and handle these issues openly.

  • 04

    Insights nobody acts on

Analysis that stays in a notebook has no impact. We deliver findings in forms decision-makers can use.

Capabilities

What we deliver

  1. 01

    Exploratory analysis

We investigate your data to uncover patterns, outliers and opportunities worth pursuing.

  2. 02

    Statistical modeling

We apply regression, time-series and segmentation methods suited to the question and data.

  3. 03

    Experiment design

We plan and analyze A/B tests and pilots so decisions rest on sound evidence.

  4. 04

    Forecasting

We build forecasts with stated uncertainty ranges for demand, revenue or capacity planning.

  5. 05

    Customer and segment analysis

We group customers by behavior and value to guide product and marketing choices.

  6. 06

    Findings and handover

We provide clear reports and reproducible notebooks so your team can repeat the work.

Where it fits

  • Understanding why customers churn
  • Pricing and promotion impact analysis
  • Demand forecasting for planning
  • Evaluating A/B test results
  • Segmenting users by behavior

Technologies we use

  • Python
  • R
  • pandas
  • statsmodels
  • scikit-learn
  • Jupyter
  • SQL
  • Plotly

Approach

How we deliver

  1. 1

    Discover

We learn your goals, users, constraints and existing systems before proposing anything.

  2. 2

    Plan

Scope, priorities, architecture and milestones are agreed so everyone knows what ships when.

  3. 3

    Design

User flows, interfaces and technical design are shaped and reviewed with you early.

  4. 4

    Build

Work is delivered in short iterations with regular demos, so progress is always visible.

  5. 5

    Test

Functional, integration and performance checks run throughout, not only at the end.

  6. 6

    Launch & support

We deploy, monitor and keep improving the product after it goes live.

FAQs

Common questions

Have a question that is not covered here? Get in touch.

What is the difference between data analytics and data science?

Analytics focuses on measuring and reporting known metrics, usually through dashboards. Data science investigates open questions with statistical and modeling methods, and often produces forecasts or causal insight.

What if our data is not good enough?

We assess data quality in the first phase and tell you what questions it can and cannot answer. Sometimes the most useful result is a plan for collecting better data.

Will we get a model or a report?

That depends on your goal. A one-off decision usually needs a report, while an ongoing process may need a model deployed in your systems, which would involve our machine learning engineering team.
